On April 12, 2006 in the afternoon he passed in Bengaluru. The film media was in Hospet to cover the ‘Gandugali Kumarama’ shooting. Dr Shiv was present and Raghavendra Rajakumar visited the shoot spot at the scorching sun. It was just after lunch the message of Dr Rajakumar demise reached us.

Today it is 10 years. The Kannada filmdom has lost its weight is a definite ‘Mathu’. Because ‘Muththuraaj’ is not around!

It was a big turn at the memorial. Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar, three sons, two daughters, Dr Raj sister Nagaththe, green house Vasanna, Sa Ra Govindu and others came to pay respect to the legendary personality. Dr Rajakumar fans association was in huge turnout. The police had tough time.

The sacred lamp was lit and flowers petals were showered on memorial. The food items liked by Dr Rajakumar were kept at this place as the ceremony part.

Come April 24, birth anniversary of Dr Rajakumar the turnout will be bigger than this and several camps are organised at this place and mass feeding is also part of it.

The government of Karnataka also celebrate the birth anniversary in the traditional style.
